1. Definition of geogrid: Geogrid is a versatile engineering marvel manufactured from polymers like polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride. They are crafted into either a two-dimensional grid or a remarkable three-dimensional grid with a certain height, tailored for civil engineering applications.
2. Plastic geogrid is crafted as a square or rectangular polymer mesh, available in two varieties based on stretching direction: unidirectional and bidirectional. Created from an extruded polymer plate (commonly polypropylene or high-density polyethylene), these grids are precision-punched and then directionally stretched under heat. Unidirectional stretching aligns along the plate's length, while bidirectional stretching further extends it perpendicularly, enhancing strength.
3. Two-way geogrid/Bidirectional geogrid: This sophisticated product is engineered from polymer through an intricate process of extrusion, plate formation, and precise punching, followed by longitudinal and transverse stretching. The grid exhibits substantial tensile strength in both directions, providing effective soil reinforcement, making it ideal for extensive permanent load-bearing foundations.
