1. Geogrid Defined: Fabricated from polymers like polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride, geogrids form a two-dimensional lattice or possess a three-dimensional grid profile. When utilized in civil engineering applications, these structures are termed geogrids.
2. Plastic Geogrid: This polymer mesh, available in square or rectangular shapes, is crafted through distinct stretching methods-either unidirectional or bidirectional. Originating from an extruded polymer sheet (typically polypropylene or high-density polyethylene), it undergoes precise punching and is then selectively stretched under thermal conditions. The unidirectional variant extends along the sheet's length, whereas the bidirectional type stretches perpendicularly, reinforcing its structural integrity.
3. Bidirectional Geogrid: Produced from polymers through an intricate process of extrusion, plate formation, and punching, followed by both longitudinal and transverse stretching.
