1. Definition of Geogrid: Crafted from polymers like polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride, geogrids are thermoplastic or molded into two-dimensional grids or three-dimensional grid screens. When applied in civil engineering projects, they are known as geogrids.
2. Plastic Geogrid: This square or rectangular polymer mesh is available in two forms, based on the stretching direction - unidirectional and bidirectional. Manufactured by punching an extruded polymer plate (primarily polypropylene or high-density polyethylene) and then directionally stretching it under heat. Unidirectional stretching extends along the plate's length, while bidirectional stretching further elongates the unidirectional grid transversely.
3. Two-way/Bidirectional Geogrid: Engineered from polymers through extrusion, plate forming, and punching, followed by longitudinal and transverse stretching. This material exhibits substantial tensile strength in both directions, offering effective load-bearing and diffusion capabilities suited for vast areas of foundational support.

 

<sub>4. Unidirectional Geogrid: Produced through polymer extrusion into thin sheets, followed by creating a regular hole net and longitudinal stretching. This process aligns the polymer into a directional linear structure with an elongated oval mesh of even distribution and high node strength. Our products boast superior tensile embedding and modulus, particularly at early elongation levels (2% -5%), delivering outstanding force distribution and diffusion in soil. With tensile strengths exceeding 150 Mpa, these are ideal for varied soil types and serve widely as reinforcement materials.
5. Steel-Plastic Geogrid: Incorporating high-strength steel wire (or fibers) treated with polyethylene (PE) and additives through extrusion, resulting in a composite, high-strength tensile belt with a rough compacted surface. This reinforced soil belt is crafted by arranging the individual belts vertically and horizontally at specified intervals or in layers, then welding with specialized reinforcement technology, forming a robust geogrid.
6. Glass Fiber Geogrid: A mesh structure made from glass fiber through specific weaving processes, followed by special coating and composite treatments to protect the fibers and enhance performance. Composed of silicon oxide and other inorganic materials, it boasts remarkable stability, high strength, high modulus, cold resistance, no creep, and excellent thermal stability. Its mesh structure locks aggregates, increasing the bearing capacity of asphalt mixtures. The modified asphalt coating endows it with superior wear resistance and shear strength, elevating the geogrid's performance.</sub>
