1. Definition of geogrid: Geogrids are ingeniously crafted from polymers like polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride. These can be shaped into two-dimensional or three-dimensional grid screens through thermoplastic or molding processes. When employed in civil engineering, they are referred to as geogrids, serving as pivotal structural supports.
2. Plastic geogrid: Designed as either square or rectangular polymer meshes, these geogrids can be categorized into unidirectional and bidirectional types based on stretching directions. By initially punching an extruded polymer plate, primarily made of polypropylene or HDPE, and subsequently stretching it under heat, the unidirectional variant elongates along the plate's length, while the bidirectional version further extends the unidirectional grid across its width.

Two-way geogrid/Bidirectional geogrid: Crafted through polymer extrusion, plating, and punching, followed by longitudinal and transverse stretching, these geogrids possess exceptional tensile strength in both directions.
