1. Definition of geogrid: A geogrid is a grid-like structure made from polymers such as polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride, created through thermoplastic or molding processes. Available in two-dimensional or three-dimensional forms, geogrids are specially crafted for civil engineering applications and play a vital role in infrastructure projects.
2. The plastic geogrid is characterized by its square or rectangular polymer mesh structure. Depending on the stretching direction, it is categorized into unidirectional and bidirectional types. Fabricated through punching an extruded polymer plate (commonly polypropylene or high-density polyethylene) followed by heated directional stretching, the unidirectional version stretches along the plate's length while the bidirectional version extends this process perpendicular to the length, enhancing its versatility in construction.
3. Two-way geogrid/Bidirectional geogrid: Crafted through a meticulous process of polymer extrusion, plating, and punching, the bidirectional geogrid undergoes both longitudinal and transverse stretching. This endows the material with immense tensile strength in both directions, allowing it to effectively distribute forces when incorporated in soil, thus making it ideal for large, permanently bearing foundations.

 

<sub>4. The unidirectional geogrid is engineered from polymers, extruded into thin sheets, and processed to form a regular hole net before undergoing longitudinal stretching. This results in a directional linear arrangement at the molecular level, producing a long elliptical mesh with uniform distribution and high node strength. Our unidirectional geogrids exhibit exceptional tensile embedding, stiffness, and tensile modulus, especially noted for their impressive tensile strength (>150 Mpa) at early elongation (2% - 5%). They serve as an ideal reinforcement material suitable for a variety of soils.
5. Steel-plastic geogrid: Comprising high-strength steel wire (or other fibers) integrated with polyethylene (PE) and enhanced with additional additives, this composite high-strength tensile belt is extruded and features a rough compacted surface. This unique construction creates a formidable reinforced soil belt. Assembled into a grid through strategic vertical and horizontal configuration, the use of special reinforced bonding welding technology ensures robust junctions, resulting in a superior reinforced geogrid.
6. Glass fiber geogrid: Fabricated with precision from glass fiber, this mesh structure undergoes a carefully controlled weaving process. Enhanced with a special coating and compound treatment, the glass fiber's primary component, silicon oxide, offers remarkable stability, high strength, and excellent performance in extreme conditions. Its mesh structure enhances aggregate locking and load capacity, while the modified asphalt coating boosts wear resistance and shear capability, making it a standout geotechnical composite material.</sub>
