1. Definition of geogrid: Crafted from polymers like polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride, geogrids form a two-dimensional grid or a three-dimensional grid screen when thermoplastic or molded. In the realm of civil engineering, they are esteemed as geogrids.
2. Plastic geogrid is ingeniously designed as a square or rectangular polymer mesh. Depending on the stretching direction, it branches into unidirectional stretching and bidirectional stretching types. Initially punched on an extruded polymer plate-predominantly polypropylene or high-density polyethylene-it undergoes a heating-induced directional stretch. Unidirectional stretching elongates the grid along the plate's length, whereas bidirectional stretching further extends the grid perpendicular to its initial stretch.
3. Two-way geogrid/Bidirectional geogrid: Bidirectional geogrids are expertly crafted through a process of extrusion, punching, and longitudinal and transverse stretching. This results in a material with substantial tensile strength in both directions, empowering it to more effectively bear and distribute forces within soil, making it ideal for extensive, permanently load-bearing foundations.

This transforms the polymer into a directional linear formation, resulting in an elongated elliptical mesh structure with evenly distributed nodes and high strength. It boasts exceptional tensile embedding and tensile modulus, with early elongation tensile strength and modulus. The product, with tensile strengths exceeding 150 Mpa, is perfectly suited for a variety of soils, serving as an effective reinforcement material extensively utilized across different applications.
5. Steel-plastic geogrid is meticulously engineered using high-strength steel wire (or alternative fibers) treated and integrated with polyethylene (PE) and additional additives. This is extruded into a composite high-strength tensile belt featuring a rough surface with compact grain. This high-strength reinforced soil belt, when arranged in vertical and horizontal layers or sandwiched, is welded using special reinforced bonding techniques to form a robust geogrid, perfect for reinforcement applications.
6. Glass fiber geogrid is an advanced mesh structure material developed from glass fiber through a specialized weaving process. To enhance its performance and protect the fibers, it undergoes special coating and compound treatment, yielding a geotechnical composite material. Comprising primarily silicon oxide and inorganic substances, it flaunts stable physical and chemical properties, high strength, and exceptional cold resistance without long-term creep. With outstanding thermal stability, the mesh structure locks aggregate in place, boosting the bearing capacity of asphalt mixtures. The modified asphalt coating amplifies its wear and shear resistance, offering superior geogrid performance.</sub>
