1. Geogrid Explained: Crafted from polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, and other polymers, geogrid is fashioned into a two-dimensional grid or a three-dimensional screen with a certain height through thermoplastic or molding processes. When utilized in civil engineering, this remarkable material is referred to as geogrid.
2. Plastic Geogrid: Featuring a square or rectangular polymer mesh, plastic geogrid is available in two variants based on the stretching direction—unidirectional and bidirectional. Created by punching an extruded polymer plate (primarily polypropylene or high-density polyethylene), it undergoes directional stretching under heat. The unidirectional variant is elongated along the plate's length, while the bidirectional is further stretched perpendicularly, enhancing its structural integrity.
3. Bidirectional Geogrid: This polymer-based marvel is crafted through an intricate process of extrusion, plate forming, and punching, followed by longitudinal and transverse stretching.
