1. Definition of geogrid: Comprised of polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, or other polymers, geogrid is formed through thermoplastic or molding processes into a two-dimensional grid or a three-dimensional grid with a certain height. When utilized in civil engineering applications, this structure is referred to as a geogrid.
2. Plastic geogrid is a polymer mesh available in square or rectangular shapes, distinguished by unidirectional or bidirectional stretching. Crafted by punching extruded polymer plates (typically polypropylene or high-density polyethylene) and subjected to directional stretching under heat, unidirectional stretching grilles are lengthwise stretched, while bidirectional grilles undergo a subsequent perpendicular stretch.
3. Two-way geogrid/Bidirectional geogrid: Crafted from polymer through extrusion, plate, and punching processes, followed by longitudinal and transverse stretching, bidirectional geogrid offers significant tensile strength both longitudinally and transversely. In soil applications, it provides superior force bearing and diffusion capabilities, ideal for large, permanently bearing foundations.

 

<sub>4. The unidirectional geogrid is engineered from polymer, extruded into a thin sheet, and perforated to create a regular hole network before undergoing longitudinal stretching. This process transforms the polymer into a directional linear state, creating an elliptical mesh with uniform distribution and high node strength, offering high tensile embedding and an impressive tensile modulus. Our products excel in early tensile strength (elongation at 2%-5%) and tensile modulus, ensuring optimal force bearing and diffusion in soil. With tensile strength exceeding 150 Mpa, this product is suitable for various soil types and serves as a widely used reinforcement material.
5. Steel-plastic geogrid, incorporating high-strength steel wire (or other fibers), undergoes special treatment combined with polyethylene (PE) and additional additives. Through extrusion, it forms a composite high-strength tensile belt with a surface featuring rough compaction grains, resulting in a reinforced soil belt of remarkable strength. Through vertical and horizontal preparation or sandwich arrangement, this single belt is crafted into a reinforced geogrid using specialized reinforced bonding welding technology to mold the junctions.
6. Glass fiber geogrid is crafted into a mesh structure using glass fiber through a precise weaving process. To enhance glass fiber protection and performance, this geotechnical composite material undergoes special coating and compound treatment processes. Composed primarily of silicon oxide and other inorganic materials, it boasts stable physical and chemical properties, high strength, and a high modulus. With outstanding cold resistance and no long-term creep, it offers excellent thermal stability. The mesh structure locks aggregate, improving the bearing capacity of asphalt mixtures. Its modified asphalt-coated surface endows it with dual composite strengths, significantly enhancing wear resistance and shear capabilities.</sub>
