1. Definition of geogrid: These are two-dimensional or three-dimensional grid screens made from polymers like polypropylene or polyvinyl chloride through thermoplastic or molding processes. When utilized in civil engineering, they are referred to as geogrids.
2. Plastic geogrid: This innovative square or rectangular polymer mesh comes in two types based on stretching direction: unidirectional and bidirectional. It begins with punching an extruded polymer plate, primarily using polypropylene or high-density polyethylene. The mesh is then directionally stretched under heat. Unidirectional stretching aligns along the plate's length, whereas bidirectional stretching involves continued expansion in the perpendicular direction.
3. Two-way geogrid/Bidirectional geogrid: Crafted from polymer through extrusion, plate, and punching processes, followed by longitudinal and transverse stretching, this material offers high tensile strength in both directions. It effectively distributes forces and is ideal for supporting large, permanently load-bearing foundations.

Glass fiber geogrid: This mesh structure material, crafted from glass fiber using a precise weaving process, undergoes special coating and compound treatment to form a high-performance geotechnical composite material.
