1. Definition of geogrid: Crafted from polymers such as polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride, geogrid is a two-dimensional grid or a three-dimensional grid screen of a specific height, formed through thermoplastic or molding processes. When utilized in civil engineering, it is termed as geogrid.
2. Plastic geogrid is a polymer mesh available in square or rectangular shapes, designed for unidirectional or bidirectional stretching. It is crafted by punching an extruded polymer plate (typically polyethylene or polypropylene) followed by directional stretching under heat. Unidirectional stretching occurs along the length, while bidirectional involves additional stretching perpendicular to the original direction.
3. Two-way geogrid/Bidirectional geogrid: Crafted via extrusion, plate punching, and subsequent longitudinal and transverse stretching, this material exhibits notable tensile strength in both directions. When embedded in soil, it effectively bears and diffuses forces, making it ideal for large-scale, permanently load-bearing foundations.

This process aligns polymers into a linear state forming a robust elliptical mesh structure with high node strength. 5. Steel-plastic geogrid combines high-strength steel wires (or fibers) treated and extruded with polyethylene (PE) and additives into a composite tensile belt. Its rough surface enhances soil reinforcement. Arranged vertically and horizontally using special bonding welding technology, it forms a durable reinforced geogrid.
6. Glass fiber geogrid employs a mesh structure of glass fiber, crafted through specific weaving techniques. Special coating enhances its stability and performance, characterized by high strength, modulus, and impressive cold resistance.
