1. Definition of geogrid: A geogrid is formed using polymers like polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride into a two-dimensional or three-dimensional grid structure. When deployed in civil engineering, these grids are referred to as geogrids and are essential for various structural applications.
2. Plastic geogrid is crafted into a polymer mesh with square or rectangular shapes. Based on the stretching direction, they are classified into unidirectional and bidirectional types. These grids originate from an extruded polymer plate, primarily polypropylene or high-density polyethylene, which undergoes directional stretching under heat. The unidirectional grid extends along the plate's length, while the bidirectional grid undergoes additional stretching perpendicular to its length.
3. Two-way Geogrid/Bidirectional Geogrid: Created from polymers via extrusion, plate formation, and punching, this grid undergoes longitudinal and transverse stretching processes. This design offers robust tensile strength in both directions, enhancing force distribution and support in broad, load-bearing foundations.

 

<sub>4. Unidirectional geogrid is designed by extruding polymer into a thin sheet, forming a regular hole net, and stretching it longitudinally. This process aligns the polymer linearly, resulting in an elliptical mesh structure with evenly distributed high node strength. Our products excel with high tensile strength (>150 Mpa) and modulus, providing optimal reinforcement across diverse soil types, essential for tensile embedding and load diffusion.
5. Steel-plastic geogrid combines high-strength steel wire (or other fibers) with polyethylene (PE) and additives to form a composite high-strength tensile belt. The surface's rough texture provides superior soil reinforcement. These belts, welded using special technology, form a reinforced geogrid structure that excels in demanding applications.
6. Glass fiber geogrid is engineered from glass fiber, featuring a mesh structure enhanced through specialized coating and compound treatments. Its core components, such as silicon oxide, impart stability, high strength, and excellent cold resistance. The mesh locks aggregates, enhancing the bearing capacity of asphalt mixtures. The modified asphalt coating amplifies wear resistance and shear capabilities, delivering dual-performance benefits.</sub>
